Today in the afternoon you will leave our everyday world and step into the realm of one of the greatest fantasy epics of all time, as you immerse yourself into the drama and intrigue that is A Game of Thrones.

You will start the tour at Diocletian’s Palace in the very heart of Split, built in the glory of Ancient Rome and feel the blood of the dragon pulse through your veins. Daenerys fought the slave-owner overlords the Mereen and Yunkai with her faithful Unsullied within these very walls, only to return to Westeros as the victorious queen.Next, you will travel to the suburban town of Žrnovnica, You will recognize this area as the place where Daenerys’s trusted handmaid and interpreter Missandei had her bathing scene.Žrnovnica is also a quarry and served as a real-world backdrop for an intense battle in the fourth season of Game of Thrones.

After Žrnovnica we will come to the Free City of Braavos, in reality, the small town of Kaštel Gomilica. In series, Braavos was known as a city of waterways, with many islands, canals, and lagoons, so that atmosphere was easily captured here in Croatia. Your tour ends at Klis Fortress, an ancient stronghold built upon stone cliffs atop the City of Split, a structure that has been the epicenter to some of Croatia’s most legendary struggles throughout history. In recent years, Klis Fortress has found a new role: as the perfect filming location for Danaerys’s stronghold. Once you are there, looking down upon the scenery from the top of the hill, you will feel the sheer power of the mighty Targaryens.

At the end of the tour, you will enjoy the traditional Croatian culinary delight of peka – a dish grilled under the bell – fresh, homemade bread, local wines and water, and you will enjoy all of this in an actual Game of Thrones ambient.

The Old Town is so striking that it seems to have leapt directly from the pages of George R. R Martin’s addictive series of novels and it is no coincidence that Dubrovnik was also a capital city in its own right – of the now extinct Republic of Ragusa. You will be taken through all the parts of the Old City where some of the most memorable scenes from the ongoing cultural phenomenon were filmed, including: The Pile Gate where King Joffrey was faced with a citizens’ riot and pelted with dung, and the Lovrijenac fort where the unsuccessful attack on King's Landing - the Battle of Blackwater - took place.
Just seconds away from the Pile Gate, in a hidden corner of the City, find beach where Myrcella was sent away and came back from Dorne, Sir Robert Baratheon’s bastard kid was killed and dock where Sansa wondered whether to elope with Littlefinger.
Follow the footsteps of Cersei as the Walk continues and see her entering another Red Keep in the City, far away from the first one. Arrive to the terrace in front of the powerful Revelin Fortress and enjoy the views of the Lokrum Island, Duel Arena and learn more about Qarth, Oberyn, Mountain, Dothraki desert…
After this, you will have some free time for lunch.

Your five hour-long Dubrovnik kayak adventure will take you to the world of Game of Thrones, but also see beautiful Lokrum Island. Tour starts beneath the ancient fort Lovrjenac; the location that is well known as Red Keep Gate in GOT, in the small port called Pile. Cersei, Jamie Lannister, Khaleesi together with our tour guide will evoke the GOT filming in Dubrovnik.

Gric Tunnel

One of the strangest attractions to open in Croatia’s capital of Zagreb, the Gri? tunnel sits under the fortifications of the Upper Town. Above, a cannon blast famously signals high noon. Below, a 350-metre-long tunnel was created to serve as an air-raid shelter during World War II. By the time it was ready, the Allies were no longer bombing Croatia. Abandoned, the tunnel became a meeting place until being assailed by DJs and ravers in the early 1990s. Recently renovated, it now stages fashion shows and exhibitions, and will soon host a Museum of the Senses.

TRESTNO ARBORETUM

Trsteno Arboretum is a beautiful botanical garden located 18km north of Dubrovnik. The gardens date back to the 1400s and, after featuring in Game of Thrones, have become a popular spot for Dubrovnik visitors. The turquoise Adriatic Sea and the small fishing village of Treston provide a spectacular backdrop and the view from the terraces are wonderful. The gardens are lush and tropical and a chorus of frogs welcomes visitors to its paths. One of the highlights is a pond overlooked by statues of Neptune and two nymphs and, as well as the interesting assortment of greenery, there are ruins and sculptures amid the lavender filled air. Game of Thrones fans will recognize Treston Arboretum as the gardens from King’s Landing and the spot where Sansa met with Lady Tyrell to discuss whether Joffrey will make a good husband for Margaery.
